Welcome to Kawagoe!
Kawagoe is located in the western part of Saitama Prefecture. The history of Kawagoe dates back to
more than 500 years. The city is a 30 minutes train ride from the District Conference Venue, Rafre.
Even now, Kawagoe maintains many old buildings ( ex. Kawagoe Castle, Temples and Shrines),
traditional foods, and festivals.
You can feel the traditional atmosphere of the Edo era. Therefore, the city is called "Little Edo"
Members of Tsurugashima TMC will guide you around the sightseeing spots of Kawagoe.
Let's visit Kawagoe and enjoy the trip.
(Outline of the Kawagoe Tour)
1. Tour date and time:
May 16th (Friday), 13:00 - 16:30
In case of slight rain, the tour will be carried out as planned.
please bring rain gears just in case.
In case of heavy rain, it'll be cancelled. we'll let you know in that case.
2. Meeting Place & Time
at 13:00 at ticket gate of JR Kawagoe Station.
3. Kawagoe Tour Itinerary
1) 13:00 Kawagoe Station (starting point).
taking a taxi to Kawagoe Honmaru-Goten(Castle)
2) 13:20 - 14:00 Kawagoe Castle & Museum
( Walk to Kurazukuri Street in 15 minutes.)
3) 14:15- 14:40 Festival Museum
4) 14:00- 16:00 Walking around Kurazukuri Street and the row of traditional style storehouses
with lots of traditional shops, including an Old Clock Tower.
( walking back to Kawagoe Station in 30 minutes)
5) 16:30 Kawagoe Station (end of the tour)

5. Tour expenses: 1540 Yen.
Please pay the following expenses by yourself.
1) train fare : 640 yen(Roundtrip)
2) Taxi fee: 400 yen a person
3) admission fee : 300 yen ( Castle & Museum)
4) admission fee : 200 yen ( Festival Museum)
6. Application for the trip
It's optional tour. Please write a check on the tour column of the application form for 2014 Spring District Conference.
Please be sure to write your email address as well.
7. Access to Kawagoe from Rafre, Conference venue.
1) It's 5 minutes walk from Rafre to Saitama-Shintoshin Station.
2) Take a train bound for Omiya st. on Keihin-Tohoku line.
3) Change at Omiya St. to take a train bound for Kawagoe on Saikyo line.

川越ツアーへのお誘い
蔵造りの街・川越へようこそ！
川越市は埼玉県の西部にあり、その歴史は、500年以上昔にさかのぼります。また、川越市は、埼玉新都心にある大会会場ラフレ（Rafre）から、電車で30分の近場にあり、江戸時代からの多くの建築物（川越御殿（城）や寺社仏閣など）が多く保存されており、伝統的な食べ物や川越祭などの昔から行われている年中行事が大切に受け継がれています。
このように江戸情緒が色濃く残された川越市は「小江戸」とも呼ばれております。
毎週埼玉近隣から多くの観光客が訪問し伝統的な江戸時代の情緒を堪能しており、今では、埼玉県の最も人気のある観光スポットとなっております。。
今回の川越ツアーでは、鶴ヶ島トーストマスターズクラブの会員が、ガイドとして皆さまを川越の観光スポットにご案内いたします。
どうかこの機会に川越を散策して、江戸情緒の一端を体感してみてください。お待ちしております。
ツアー日時： 5月16日（金）13：00 ～ 16：30
小雨の場合は、計画通り実施しますので雨具の用意は忘れずに。また、激しい雨の場合は、中止となりますが、その場合はご連絡します。
集合時間と場所
JR川越駅改札口に当日13：00に集合。ガイドが目印を持って待ってます。
ツアー行程
13:00 川越駅出発
川越駅前でタクシーに分乗して、川越本丸御殿（城）へ移動。
2) 13:20 – 14:00 川越本丸御殿と川越市立博物館の見学
（見学後、蔵造り通りへ徒歩で移動、約15分）
14:15 – 14:45 川越祭会館見学
14:45 – 16:00 蔵造り通り散策
お菓子屋横丁や「時の鐘」、昔ながらの蔵造りが立ならび、風情のある店
舗や資料館として皆さんをお迎えします。
（散策後、徒歩で川越駅まで戻ります。約30分）
5) 16:30 川越駅で解散となります。
4．配布資料: 川越観光マップ （ツアー出発時に配布）
5．必要経費：1540円程度。
以下の費用はご自分でお支払いください。
1) 電車運賃640円（ただし、大会会場ラフレとJR川越駅の往復運賃）
2)タクシー代 400円（川越駅から川越本丸御殿まで4人で分乗した場合）
3) 見学料金 300円（ただし、川越本丸御殿と川越市博物館）
4) 入場料 200円（ただし川越祭会館）
６．ツアー申込方法
2014春季District Conferenceの参加申込フォームにツアー希望の有無欄がありますので、その欄にチェックを入れてください。なお、連絡用としてメールアドレス記入欄へのご記入も忘れずにお願いします。
７．ＪＲ川越駅へのアクセス（大会会場ラフレからとします）
1) ラフレから徒歩にて埼玉新都心駅
2) 埼玉新都心駅から京浜東北線下り電車で大宮駅へ
3) 大宮駅で埼京線下り電車に乗換え、川越駅へ
なお、池袋駅から東武東上線で来られる方は、川越駅（次の川越市駅と間違えないでください。）で下車。ＪＲ川越駅と隣接してます。（乗車時間：３０分）
